Aspire IT R&S Inc. was formed after Aspire IT Solutions, Inc., a joint venture between UPI Contracting Pty Ltd of Australia (UPI) and Merryland Publishing Corporation of Philippines. After the success of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) “Integra” project of Oracle, for which UPI was a subcontractor, and due to the rise in the amount of globally outsourced work being brought into the Philippines by global players like IBM, Accenture, HP and Oracle, UPI decided to take the natural next step: to incorporate its Philippine presence and aggressively offer its services in the local market. UPI’s founder (the late Mr. Geoffrey Yung) had long track records, dated back to early 1970s, of managining/deliverying and reourcing successfully projects in Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Philippines and other SE Asian countries. Since partnering with Mr. Dominicus Cheung our President, UPI Contracting was formed in 1993, moving into Manila in 2002.

A History of Innovation and Service Excellence - Mr. Yung was one of the forerunners amongst software houses in Australia to offer a choice between fixed-price contracts and time-and-materials methods of operation during the early 1970s. Whatever the nature of the job may be, our Group have always been aware of critical time constraints pertinent to the client and have met the demands expected of us. Our Group pioneered the formation of project teams from multi-national sources within the Asia Pacific region. In its subcontracted part in the ADB “Integra” project, UPI brought in high-level consultants adept with Oracle 9i technology and 11i Applications from Australia and other Asian countries to spearhead the project when these technologies were then newly introduced in the Philippines. UPI then trained and developed more local consultants both Oracle 9i & 11i versions and beefed up the project organization. Traditionally, Aspire IT offers transactional recruitment and staff augmentation solutions, as well as, specialized training and development services. In addition and as a cost-effective alternative to these service offerings, Aspire IT has pioneered and introduced to the Philippine market the service offering of RECRUITMENT PROCESS OUTSOURCING (RPO).
